It was a busy Saturday morning at work, but in the afternoon, we went to Noumea.
First stop was Kone Discount. The Halloween decorations were out.
We realised that the cars we got were almost identical (even the carplates).
We made a halfway toilet stop.
There was a dog waddling around.
I had to include this photo.
Seemed like an expo (close to Boon’s heart?) was on.
We arrived in Noumea, welcomed by the sight of SLN.
Then passed the Vale ferry that goes to Goro.
An in-car selfie.
and faced the hill.
We checked into the aparttel at Promenade.
We got a three bedroom aparttel, it was really nice.
I did some bartending.
Then Jonathan came to join me.
There were multiple Jonathans in the lift.
Then we went out for dinner, at a place called Astrolabe.
I ordereed the Tagliatelle with foie gras and smoked duck breast slices, roasted pine kernels.
It was super rich in foie gras. Foie gras overload.
Ray and William did their posing.
And we took more photos.
Ray had a shrimp cocktail.
I had dessert.
This is William’s dessert.
After this we went back, and I fell asleep. I was woken up later when someone accidentally fell across me, then he started snoring.
The next morning, we went for breakfast.
I had a burger.
There was a bicycle race on.
William was demonstrating how a profile photo should be taken.
and the cyclists rode around.
We walked back to hotel to check out.
We noticed there were bathrobes in the room, so had some fun.
Oh, too many to share.
After checking out, we went to the aquarium. It was nicer than I expected.
After aquarium, Jonathan, William and I took a drive up to the Cannons at Ouen Toro.
Then back down again for lunch.
We went to Stone Grill for lunch.
I ordered the surf & turf trilogy.
William had the Kobe beef.
After a very satisfying lunch, we left.
and headed back to site. Leaving Noumea was difficult as there were many detours, ended up circling around and catching a glimpse of Chinatown.
On the way back, we had to slow down as a cow decided to cross the road.
